Polaroid Comeback

I don't know if I've ever met someone who doesn't like polaroids... so when they decided to stop making the film, those fat cats in charge must have been smoking some serious crack! But lucky the people in the engine room have been smoking a much more pleasant blend & have taken control... fyi

Rather than let Polaroid technology die out completely, a number of former workers have combined to try and resuscitate instant film. Under the name Impossible, they purchased Polaroid’s Dutch factory (where the film was produced) and will set to work in attempt of a 2010 relaunch. The film will be improved, but work in vintage Polaroid cameras.

Not Dead, Sleeping.

Pow Pow

We've been pretty spoilt with snow over the last week, generally
getting a few inches each night...just in time for us to breeze
through the trees and float across the silver lining! But the sun
eventually came out & it hasn't snowed in days. There is something so
alluring about untouched snow, so smooth and silky, just crying out to
be carved, smashed & bashed! So when most of the main trails have been
ridden it's time for a search & destroy mission. Cutting back and
forth, winding in and out of trees, looking for that small patch of
glory to hack into the trees or glide across... Right now I'm chilling
after a days searching, sitting in the arvo sun about to crack a
beer... Tough times ;P

Safety Poster of the Week

New Ride!

Picked up this fresh new setup, RIDE DH Freetstyle board, Burton
Mission bindings & Salomon boots...It's Been smooth on the mountain
but still doesn't stop me crashing! We've had 3 days of riding now,
snows been great~ thick powder off the main trails & heaps of tree
runs. Up the top of the mountain it's so cold that the pine trees are
like huge ice sculptures... I call it Sasquatch country... Took my
first big stack yesterday & landed face first after a jump & shattered
my goggles. FYI another $100 US for some new ones. It's snowing again
this morning so it's off frolic in -10 white stuff! ;P

Touchdown

4 planes, 36 hours, 11 mins sleep later, we've landed in Hayden
airport, Steamboat Springs. One he'll of a trip but it was epic
landing on a snow covered runway. Heavy Snow falling, time for some
rest~

Puerto has left the building...

I'm just waiting in Melbourne airport for my connecting flight to LA,
a staunch 14 hour jam, 5 hour transit & 2 more connecting flights into
Colorado~ let's hope all crying babies, fat old men & Oprah are
nowhere to be seen. That is unless she gives me a Bentley or puts
Noods on a Super Diet. He's put on a few kilohs after too many NYC
Grande Frapa Moo Cowchinos!!! More soon from LA. ;P

Think positive after a bad shot...

We've been playing our fair share of golf lately & it's one of those sports where everyone who plays seems to have some advice for you... "Try loosening your grip a little"... "Make sure you hit through the ball" & "Don't move your feet!" Frankly it all gets pretty confusing but when I came across this sweet ole book, I figured it was time to learn the BEST way to better my game!
